A sunny day at Halswell House

On Sunday my daughter and I spent a lovely day attending mad hatters tea party at an English stately home. There was champagne, pimm's, croquet and cream teas. We are selling my summer pictures and of course my new needle cases which went down very well. My daughter loved browsing through all the stalls but spent most of her day in the gardens by the lake. The day ended on a good note as we came home to a delicious Sunday roast cooked by my husband! That seems like a life time ago now as I am sat here working with seven children running around me needing to be fed and watered at constant intervals!
The COUSINS have come to stay!

They're Ready!

My first few needlecases are ready and in my Etsy shop now. I've had fun sorting through my fabric cupboard to find just the right designs and colours to go together. Hope you like them. I've already got orders from some of my sewing friends.

Work in progress.

I've decided to expand my range.....well there are only so many pictures I can make in a week. The idea for this lovely needlecase came from a conversation in the school playground. We were discussing the annual problem of what to buy the class teacher when inspiration struck! The first one is almost finished. I have used some beautiful vintage cotton along with some new sage green fabric with tiny white polka dots. They will be available in my Etsy shop next week and at around £6.50 or $9.75 they really do make an affordable gift.
